picked up my m 37 today

i picked it up in hazelton pa. and brought it to it's new home in va. i won a gsa auction and i got a bargain. no rust through, very solid. haven't had a chance to see if it runs. the pa inspection expired 5/03 so it hasn't been parked long. the steering was listed as the reason it wouldn't pass. although i was able to turn the wheels ok to winch it up the trailer. i was hopeing to get more of the history of the truck but minutes after i arrived the fire fighters had to respond to a fire. today it was very windy and i am sure this made it tough. so if anyone could point me in the right direction for 24v battery hookup, steering parts, and history for the 53 m37 i would be greatfull.
