I see a lot of value in using dot 5 in any vehicle and more so for ones that sit a lot, the value is you never have to screw around replacing calipers and brake cylinders cause they don't get rusty from the moisture that is absobed into the non-silicone based fluids. I have proven it with a couple of older trucks I own, in one of them I was replacing calipers about once a year until I switched over, now it's been more than 10 years and no problems. I know its expensive but well worth the cost. My 02
