In the PIF's, both 160 degree and 180 degree thermostats are listed. In my Mopar parts book they list 165 degree thermostats for engines up to T137-21560 and 180 degree thereafter.
Why did the temperature increase from 160/165 to 180 degrees for the same motor?
What was changed on the motor to allow it to run hotter?
Could I put in a 180 in lieu of the 165 or vice versa?
