The event will be 30 an 4/10 miles southwest of Alpine, Texas on Highway 118. There is primitive camping on the Ranch anda Motor home will not have trouble geeting to the camp sights there is water close by but that is all. I will be bringing my smoker and cooking a meal on Fri. night. There is 18000 acres in to drive around on the only thing is the Land owner wants us to stay on EXISTING ROADS. There is a use charge of $25.00 a day per trail truck to be paid to the ranch manager. This will be the only fee I will furnish the meal on Friday night. I need a reply of how many people may be coming so I know how much food to bring Right now it is the Sawyers my family and Missouri John, and big john in WAxahachie Possible judd, AAA. I would like to invite anyone from New Mexico or any whereelse for that matter there is no preplanned events just trailriding and visiting and dinner Friday night The dates April,22-April,25 unfortunately conflict with Paul Cooks event and I sorry for any difficulty but this ranch is used by the local 4wd club for cowboy gatherings and is a working ranch so It has been very difficult to get it all done I did not get the final okay till last night. The Ranch is visible from the road and we will put out some signs as 118 goes past the front gate and is a good paved state highway the old abandoned adobe mansion is very visible part way up the mountain about 1/2 mile from the road. The entrance will be on your right. There are plenty of cmping and Hotels in alpine for those without camping trailers or gear Alpine has about 6000 people and a 4 star restaurant as well as Sul Ross university. The ranch promises many types of roads good and bad. REMEMBER April 22-April 25. anIF you have any questions post here are call me at 817 937-6580. P.S. Again I wont to offer my apologies to Paul Cook and any who are inconvienanced by these dates it was not the origional plan but it was out of my control and for those that cant make it perhaps we need a late fall fling. For those that dont know Alpine is a little north of Big Bend national Park.
