But I'm a union worker. I work for a city, and I'm very happy to be in a union the supports collective barganing. We are constantly getting screwed by the city. It's just like a big corperation, only on a smaller scale. Look at Amrican airlines, the exeuctives asked the pilots to take a 25% pay cut, then the gave themselves huge bonuses. It's the same with manufacturing. The priveleged fat cats that sit up on high in the corner offices get paid the big bucks off of someones elses labor. Do you really think the cost of buying a car would go down if there were no Auto Union? Heck no! They would stay the same, it's just that more dough would be funneled into the exeuctive boards coffers then before, and the workers would suffer. Have you seen pictures of the Auto Union workers on T.V.? It dosent look to me like any of them are getting overpaid, does it to you?
IMHO being in a union is another way to stick it to "The Man"!
