I would not recommend against it. In fact, I would recommend doing it every chance you get. You may be suprised at just how much more enjoyable life is at 45 mph. Take the senic route, stay off the 6-lane highways, and allow extra time for stops every 30-40 miles or so. Not that you will NEED to stop, but if you do, I can about guarantee that someone will stop and strike up a conversation with you.
