Take 20 minutes and pull the engine now. Take a few more hours and tear it down, fix what's broke, and put her back together again (drive it for at least 500 miles after the work & before your trip). You won't regret the ounce of prevention and WILL enjoy your trip. '67 Bugs are great! Try to see a few sites in Canada while on your trip!
