I had a similar problem with a garden tractor. Started great, ran awhile then sputtered and died. ten minutes later it would start right up. After exhausting my knowhow, I took it to a repair shop. The guy there found a plug of something absorbant (Icant remember what it was now) which would allow fuel to seep by, but it would run until the fuel line was dry and quit. the fuel would slowly seep through and it would start again. Very frustrating. Try blowing out your fuel lines if you havent already. Is your fuel filter plugged?
