That is the original transmission & the engine is a 301 fury. It has a 215hp rating stock...not sure on torque but the engine has had some mystery machining done to the bore at some point. The bore is 5/16" larger than a 301 should be??
It ran perfect & the bores had almost no wear so I just did crank, bearings, heads & left the unknown mods alone!
It was installed at a Dodge dealer in Lewiston Idaho in 1959 & has been running this way for 45 years so I think it's safe to say the old non syncro tranny is strong enough to handle the added power.
The only changes I've made is the motor & transmission mounting. The brackets they had built were welded to the frame & not of the highest quality, shall we say!
