Look here:

You can see the 61-62 tags, as well as two 68 tags, and a 59 tag.

Look here for the 63-65(66?) tag:

Basicly here are the tag breakdowns:

WDX to B-2 trucks (46-50) used the same oval tag, it contained info on Serial Number, Model Number, GVW, and Net HP at RPM

B-3 to C-4 trucks used the same basic tag, but it now also had Gross HP at RPM listed

I am not sure what 57s used in the W300s (ff style), but in the standard cab trucks a small number got the same tag as a C-4, and the majority got a paper tag in the glovebox only, and after this much time I have only seen a couple trucks that still had them.

In 1958 Dodge went to a larger square tag that had much more info on it, and many 1958 trucks got this tag. Early 58s used the same paper tag as the 57s. I am not sure if W300Ms used the paper tag at all, or if they had metal tags for the whole run.

1959 Dodge trucks, including W300Ms all used a metal tag much like the 58 tag, but there were two versions, with different info included depending on when the truck was built.

1960 Dodge trucks (and I believe WM300s) used two tags, with both a Parts Avalibilty Number and a Serial Number. This number decodes in similar way to a 60s truck, but the sequential part makes no sense with a 61-71 decoder.

1961-62 Dodge trucks used two tags, one with the Parts Avalibilty Number (small tag) and athe other (large tag) had the Serial Number.

1963-65(66?) Dodge trucks used two tags, but now the small tag had the serial number on it, and the large tag only had things like WB, HP, GVW, etc.

I am a bit lost on 67, it should either be like the 63-65(66?) or it is like a 68.

1968 Dodge trucks used a single large tag that had all the info, including serial number.

Of course the later tags on WM300 were all export, so I am not sure what happens after that.

These are the facts that I have learned from checking truck after truck in the field, as the books are often wrong.

Some of this data is in the books, but not all of it, though much of what I learned in the field does agree with the books.
