door window HELP!!!!!

Anybody out there have a good procedure for getting the door window out of a PW without splitting the skin? My autobody buddy won't touch it for fear of me running over his honda if he didn't do a nice job!!

Also, I'm looking for a driver's side door latch for my '59 w300m.
