Spring pin removal on C3-p/w

I have easily removed all the spring pins on the front and rear for blasting and painting.Now i get to the front eyes of the rear springs.I have tried slide hammers (large and larger)and pullers.The latest was a bolt welded to a 1/8th pipe plug and a sleeve with a washer and still no luck.My next try will involve cutting the rivets off the hanger and removing the hanger from the frame to get access to the back.I will try drifting the pin out this way. Any other ideas? dave
