thanks - when you say the positive to the amm would be in series with the batt cable - how would that work? do you mean run a wire from the alternator to one terminal on the ammmeter and then a wire to the battery? im not clear on that part. i want to keep the ammeter as its part of the command's purpose as a radio vehicle. there's even a switch on the dash to turn the gauge on and off.
