I have three Danbury Mints models:
1948 Chrysler Town and Country
1941 Dodge 1/2 ton Pickup (red)
1946 Dodge WDX (Seawolf Submarine Green)
Some of the nifty things about the WDX are:
*Hood is double hinged on both side to show the engine
*Windshield tilts out at bottom
*Steering turns front wheels
*Seat lifts up to show the jack and tools
*Winch has plastic chain and thread "cable" that pulls out 1 1/2" (that's 36" full scale) and returns by a spring.
*Engine is detailed with spark plug wires and air cleaner decal.
*Glove box door has the three plates (shift pattern, max speeds, and warning.
*It is a deluxe cab (dual visors, inside mirror, driver arm rest)
Not so nifty things:
*Not a toy, it is easy to break off the wipers, mirror, spotlight if you are not careful.
*Mirror execution is kinda clunky, but needs to be (see previous comment)
*Door windows have vent dividers, my 1946 WDX does not so I think this is from later Power Wagons
*Tailgate chains are wires in plastic sleeves and they do not hang naturally

All in all, an excellent model. I just need to restore my truck so it looks like the Danbury Model!

Larry
