'49 PW f/s in SF Bay Area, anyone familiar with it?

Hi Folks,

I've found a '49 Power Wagon with a cracked block (it runs)
for sale cheap in the SF Bay area. I'm wondering if any of you
are familiar with it?

Is there a particular area on the block that is prone to crack? My first thought is that
the engine is junk, but the guy mentioned welding it. Of course,
I forgot to ask WHERE it's cracked...:):)

Just what I need, another project.....
