My 1950 PW is equipped with overload springs and unusual spring hangers that may or not be a factory or dealer installed option. The overload spring hangers hook on the lower inside portion of the frame rail and extend up the side of the frame and are secured to the top of the rail by means of a 1/2" bolt traveling across the rail to a small clip to keep the hanger snug against the side of the frame rail. The hangers are cast iron and have a rubber insert where the overload spring leaf would contact. Do these spring hangers sound like a common or correct set up for a San Leandro mfg truck and if so are any of the rubber hanger inserts available because mine are wiped out?
