Hey Paul - Don't think that will work (of course, time & money makes anything possible). 400 series trucks are "Medium Duty" different dimensions, etc. than 100 - 300 "Light Duty" trucks. Also, D = 2 x 4, while W = 4 x 4. So, you'd still be searching for front end parts, transfer case, etc. for the conversion.

14 = D400
6 = 6 cylinder
1,550,466 = '66 (year started 1,548,000, so it's the 2,466th truck produced)

Wheelbase = 133, 157 or 175 inches. '61 - '66 Townies wheelbase is 114", while prior years is 108" (which is why pre-'61 fenders from conventional Pickups / Townies do not interchange with '61 - '66 Townies).

A W100 or W200 is straight exchange - same frame. I know this is true '61 - '66 & suspect it would be true through the end of the "Sweptline" era, 1971. I would suggest getting a beater W100 or W200 anything & just swapping out the body - you get the correct frame with all the 4 x4 goodies attached. I think this would be the easiest route to go.

Hope that helps, let me know if you need anything else.

Cheers, JB

P.S. - Pic is of a '56 Town Panel, quite stylish !!!
