I have never hand cranked a Power Wagon, BUT I have started many a farm tractor that way. It can be quite dangerous if you dont watch what your doing. My main question is...If your hand cranking a Power Wagon, How do you 'play' and set the choke? some old tractors have a rod that go from the radiator to the choke on the carb and soon as the tractor fires, you can open the choke up like that. BUt then again. A Power Wagon, if well tuned should not have be be turned over too many times to start with a hand crank. The main problem with hand cranking is, they will kick back and break your arm! When you hand crank, Grab the crank handle, and go on an 'upward' stroke with it. Crank it 1/4-1/2 turn at time, but DONT crank down on it. If you do, and it kicks back, thats when your arm gets broke! Also, if its a very cold day and you have straight 30 weight in your crankcase, it will be a BEAR to turn over.
