Hi Mark,
I have a crank, but my truck has a winch. Near as I can figure, to hand crank a winch model, you have to pull all of your cable off the drum for the crank to be able to go into the radiator hole. There is even a different crank for winch versus non winch models. Length I guess. So, no I have never tried it.
