Even that won't be real accurate unless you run it. After sitting for 10 years I'd be surprised if the rings & valves were still perfectly seated.
If you haven't done so already I'd fill that engine up with diesel right to the top & let it sit for a couple of weeks. You'd be surprised what the diesel will look like when you pull the drain plug!
Pull the head & have a look.
Fill the cylinders with diesel too.
