I noticed a couple arty guys responded to these pics so I have a question for any of you. I am looking for an artillery guy that was attached to the 1/50th Mechanized Infantry Battalion. He was apparently the FO's RTO since he carried the radio. He was a casualty in the 505 valley, Binh Dinh province on March 17, 1968. He took an AK round right above the heart. I never thought he would survive but discovered at our '99 reunion that he did. One of our later casualities met up with him in Japan and in fact showed me a picture of the two of them in hospital gowns. I have been told his name was Lettie. Not sure how that was spelled and whether that was a first, last or nickname. Any ideas about how or where I might find him? I spent quite a bit of time trying several years back but kind of gave up since there is so little information to go on. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to meet him again and give him some information about his survival that I am certain he does not know.
