Well, I talked to the owner of this truck. He says it has over 300K miles on it, and the trans has never been touched as far as rebuild goes. He said it has had the trans fluid and filter changed on it yearly since new... BUT, I am still leary of it myself. I dont know how hard its been worked or what not. I know that good maintenece goes a long long way...But still with that many miles, I dont trust an automatic regardless of what trans it has. Most of the guys I know around here who run the first generation Cummins trucks, with automatics have to replace the trans about once every 75K miles or so. I personally have never liked automatics.... I figure why spend alot of money on something I wont really be happy with anyway right?
