Looking at your drawing, you are going to need to pull the truck up forward some more. I would go another 2-3' forward. In my experience, it's better to err on the side of having more tongue load, vs. not enough. Too little tongue load is what causes trailer sway and eventually rollovers. Just remember, with an 8,000# trailer, it is recommended that you have between 800 to 1200# tongue load (10-15%). This is a noticeable squat on the back of a tow vehicle any smaller than a 1-ton.
