Not sure how bad your fender is and I am not sure how good the quality of their replicated fender's are. There is a lot to be said for just paying for something that you can buy instead of sitting in your garage for countless hours welding, grinding, sanding etc.. You may do that for a living or do it very well or need the stress relief or aggrevation(whichever comes first) If you can't buy it because no one sells it, then of coarse you will be having it repaired. Look at Paul in NY, his Carryall is awesome!

Sometimes I look at a repair of how long I think it will take me and take a hourly rate of my day job or something similar(how much I make during the day etc) and see what that comes out to. ie: a fender is not the most simplified repair. say this is the lower portion by the door that always rots out. Cut it out, match up new panel, make fitment cuts to fit better, tack weld in, finish welding in, grinding down, may need to weld a little back in. then body filler, sand, primer. you probably have 6 hours. say you make $30/hr that would cost you $180.00 Not knowing what a new fender is you may be able to do it cheaper or how long it takes you.

my thoughts,
Pieter
