Just got Bear on the road last night after a wheel problem.
I was parking and noticed that the ammeter was not deflecting to the positive when the engine rpms went up. It normally does.
It does deflect to the negative when the lights are on, so I think that the meter is still ok. There is a very slight deflection to the negative when the engine is at idle. It does not change with engine speed.
I took voltage readings at the battery terminals (14.02). I took readings both ac and dc across the generator terminals and got zero. What should it be at the generator? ac or dc?
I really need to have this running smooth the next few days at least. Any ideas?
Thanks
Lonnie
