Yes Steve, lockers in the rear are known to cause a vehicle to want to stay moving in a forward direction, on any kind of surface especially a wet or icy surface where the front wheels will more easily slide even when turned.
This is one of the advantages of a differencial, it allows for the inner and outter turning radius differences but lacks the full 4-wheel locked pulling needed in extreme situations. Sometimes the law of physics doen't allow for perfect situations.
