I have watched people at the PW rally in Iowa on the balance beam. This is device Bill Garland and a few others made for the truck games. From what I have observed the balance point for a PW with winch and the express box is two or three inches ahead of the rear of the door or just about where the driver sits. Of course what other equipment on the truck front and rear would affect this. In your picture I would say the truck is too far forward if you wanted to center the cg over the axle, however you need to have some tongue weight to tow properly. I have a 20' 12000# trailer that I tow my trucks on, but I went with a gooseneck hitch.
The gooseneck puts the weight on the tow truck just ahead of the rear axle which gives excellent handling and traction. Other than the weight, it's easy to forget you have a trailer behind you.
