It's me, too. Partly the winter cold, part burn out. Today I wised up regarding my windshield regulator. I was looking for a gear to replace the original stamped one, and already spent hours fiddling with the mechanism, disassembling, cleaning, etc. Got on ebay, searched for Dodge Windshield Regulator, found ONE, ending in 2 hours. Got it for $51 (sorry if I was bidding against a fellow PW enthusiast). I figure this is cheaper than one spur gear if I could have found one to fit even close. Plus more hours of my time. So now I have spare parts, too (my old one).
Restoring is much more time consuming than building or assembling.
Restoring a Power Wagon or anything else is going to cost you three things: Time, Money, and Frustration. They are interchangeable.
