This is a 276ci Desoto Hemi, 1952 vintage in a 1st series power wagon. Really good power up high, and lots of guts!
It's a real nice vintage swap, and nothing gets butchered. I think the chrysler series motors (331,354,392) you have to do some funky stuff with the steering gearbox, and also mount the motor in a little crooked.
This truck currently runs the original drivetrain with 5.83 gears and a non-syncro 4 speed. I have the parts to switch to a centered rear differential, 4.89 gears, NP 435 or 420 transmission. It's just a bit of time.
I have a 291ci desoto Hemi which is basicly the same engine and it's backed up with a NP 540 (5 speed syncro) with PTO from a '56 2 ton truck if your looking for a repower project kit!
