When you add Saginaw Power Steering on a Power Wagon or WC, you will loose the ability to use your normal horn button in the center of the steering wheel. This is because the Saginaw Box does not provide a way for the horn wire to pass through the box. Most people adding Saginaw PS have just put a small horn button on the Steering column. I wanted the original horn button and made a comutator/brush to correct this problem. I installed in on the Bumblebee 2 years ago. It works flawlesley. Quite a few people have asked how I did it. I gave descriptions but did not want to tear the PW apart for pictures. Today I made a new comutator/brush assembly for my Carryall. I documented it with pictures and a step by step description and materials used.
The modification is available to anyone who would like to receive it. I have packed it into a ZIP file. Email me and I will be happy to send you the zip file. If there are a lot of requests, I will do a few mailings with a lot of people on each mailing. Ha ! I only have a 24.4 connection and dont want to have to send this to each person, it will take all night. This modification is fully protected by the Patient office of Igor, Lefty and 3 Toes who handle all problems of infringement.
Email me at ks2krpt@attglobal to request the mod. Be sure to put POWER WAGON as subject or it may get erased as spam.
