'61 WM300 Correct Engine Color

I was wandering if anyone would know the correct engine color for a '61 WM300,seems all of the sudden I have had the urge to do alot of things to the truck , my engine is clean so maybe during the warm weather we have been having,I could find time to get the engine painted, This is all Bill J's fault of course:):).
