If I can find the actual newspaper (this is only an excerpt from the Fargo paper, and didn't even mention Williston's -105!) I'll ask someone at work to scan it for me. Moving to the acreage, Lord only knows where the scrapbook stuff is packed right now!!

A severe arctic blast covered the eastern 2/3rds of the country. Records were set throughout the Midwest and the northern plains with the lowest temperature at 36 degrees below zero at Sault Ste Marie, MI. Wind chills went down to 50 degrees below zero with a wind chill of 98 below reported at Fargo, ND.
