If the engine is not left running and the temps are below -20 that is when problems can happen. Around -40 antifreeze will start to slush up, battrys won't charge or realy be able to produse enought power to turn a engine over. Another problem that starts at colder then -20 is tolerances change, plastics start to crack easy. Around -40 tires can break there beads and flat spots won't go out of the tires, metal can get brittle. After -20 below your differentials fluids will be like cement if they are not correctfor the temipture. Lots of things can go wrong at real cold temps. Mark H.
