Interesting ? you have. -20 is a lot for a carb engine. Would be curious to see what others have experienced. I'd say if it will start then its ok. Provided your antifreeze doesnt turn into antifroze.
I know my 74 D200 with the 440 really becomes a bear at -10. We experience a few weeks a winter in Kansas here where it can get into the -teens.
I am waiting for Paul's report on the Cummins Turbo up in his neck of the woods and see how he likes the diesel in the cold. I hear the Cummins does rather well in the cold.
