When I built my '87 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel from '91 4X4 frame and running gear and '87 2X4 sheet metal, I had to replace the floor hump over the transmission / transfer case to clear. This only took one day. I used a small jig saw to cut most of the floor pans out, and then had to use a Dremel tool with abrasive wheels to finish making the cuts at the firewalls. I made the floor pan section from the 4X4 cab about 1-inch larger than the hole in the 2X4 cab, overlapped the metal while using good seam sealing compound between the overlap and just pop riveted the section to the cab floor. The factory carpet covers the seam. It worked great and has never given any problems in the 7 years since completed. Your cab is essentially the same as the one I modified.
