RDavis,I wouldn't be so hard on him for wanting to put a late model drive train in a PW.After all it's his truck. Secondly if it's done right all the sheet metal wouldn't be harmed,using a late model frame.I have one'50 PW I'm restoring to almost stock.The other is a'47 WDX with a frame broken in three places,cab with a lot of floor rot.I've been a welder/fabricator for going on thirty years.I'll shorten the late model frame so to be 12" shorter than a stock PW and I have a '53 "pilot cab" bed I'll make 18" shorter than a stock PW. With Cruise control,tilt wheel,and power steering,I know it will be a joy to drive.And you know,"Ain't it kool"
Yep, one less stock PW will make your's worth just alittle bit more.
