If it's chopped in the middle you might be able to get a good frame and transfer all the stuff over(cab, bed ,running gear, engine etc). It will be alot of work but if a shorter frame is bothering you then that would be what to do.
On the old frame keep all the crossmembers as they could be sold at another time as I see them asked for from time to time here and would cut the cost down on another frame. I have 2 frames(1951 has a cut out next to the rear hole & haven't seen the other to know what year) and a couple extra crossmembers(front & 3rd one back) ask around there might be one close by to you to go get.
