Years back when I got my first WM300, it only had one vac wiper motor with the same problem except the shaft end was rusted off not broken and still attached to the wiper arm by the wiper nut.
After studying the situation and taking some measurements I found that there was a certain size welding rod (w/flux removed)that
matched the wiper shaft perfect. The shaft is splined in-line w/the shaft approx. 3/16 from the end towards the back w/the chrome plated and threaded arm stub driven onto it.
I rebuilt mine and was lucky enough to get it right the first time. The hardest part is removing the arm mounting stub from the end.
I drilled a 1/16 hole in the threaded end and used a tiny punch to push the shaft out.
I made splines for the new shaft with a small pair of short-nosed piers w/ fine teeth.
