After reading the post above about talking to old timers, I remember on old mechanic I knew, who is dead now. His method of breaking stuck tires off rims was to lay the tire down on the ground and drive over the tire as close to the wheel as possible. This always worked.
Come to think of it, I am getting to be an oldtimer myself. It's amazing how that happens. JH
