I have a small gauge that is mounted in a piece of aluminum mount underneath my dash, and it houses an air tank pressure gauge, and a choke cable. The pulling on the choke cable everyday has workhardened the aluminum and it is starting to come apart.
To create a new piece I do not have access to any machines capable of doing this work however. If I was to buy a piece of aluminum at Home Depot, proper thickness, could I score the backside of the aluminum sheet and fold it using a straighedge without the aluminum breaking??
The aluminum I'm working with is about 1/8th inch thickness!!
