I was in a hurry, when I wrote the first post (had a date with a bird!), the cradel that I built, as well as the one in the photo does attach to the stock body mounting points, and you are correct, a non-rotating fixture needs to sit up about 18" off of the ground for good bottom side clearance to allow for blasting/painting/moneying around/etc. The frame in the photo has a 4" square tube that runs then entire length of the vehicle, to prevent flex, and (the photo doesn't do it justice) each end has a "T" spreader that firmly and rigidly attaches to the body mounting points with no flex or distortion.
