As I understand it, you reverse plate them (clean out all the crap) then copper plate the remainder, then fill the pits w silver solder, buff, copper plate then chrome.
I have been quoted between $10 and $20 **per letter**.
I had the DODGE in front done years ago. I sent the part for evaluation and was given a quote of $60. He did the job (it was *not* a good job) and sent me a bill for an additional $50 which I refused to pay as that was not the deal we had struck.
The new brass letters are a better deal IMHO. Or you can be cheap like me and fill the pits w Bondo and paint w silver paint. Can't tell the difference at 50/50 ...
