Joe is currently working the issue of forum salvage for lots of good reasons
1. It would be great if PW owners were able to visit the forum every day or so to print those postings that interest them. But many of us aren't able to do so. When the Forum is reset, some threads are lost or forgotten.
2. While it is easy to tell which postings are important to you now, it is harder to predict which ones you will need in the future, so we sometimes overlook threads until we REALLY need them, like when the poop hits the fan and we have to do a rebuild or retrofit.
3. Clearly, those postings which present personal experiences and opinions, how-to advice, and restoration information should be salvaged.
4. It would be nice to have old forums indexed and maintained for us to revisit so that the collective knowledge of those fine folks who take the time to share what they know can be accessed by all who need it, when they need it.
Thanks, Joe, for keeping it going!
