I inherited a 1953 M-37 with 230 cid motor. Was running well, but all of sudden is very hard to start. Replaced spark plugs and cleaned wires. I believe that the wires were reconnected in the proper place, but I want to make sure. Trying to confirm the position of the #1 wire on the distributor cap. Can anyone help? It is currently wired so that the #1 is at approximatley 12 o clock and a CW rotation. Also, how much of an undertaking is it to convert from 24 V to 12 V? any help is greatly appreciated.
