www.419fraud.com is all you need to know.
I have hanging above my desk, Cashier's Check # 3928409, drawn on Chevy Chase Bank, Bethesda Maryland, in the amount of $4500.12 that I received from a potential buyer of one of my $1000 power steering kits for the M35 series truck.
After a long series of emails back and forth, I hooked this Nigerian and reeled him in. He thought I would actually send him a power steering unit plus the difference in a Money Order.
What I got was a few minutes' entertainment, a nice bogus check, suitable for framing, and a story to tell over cocktails, whenever the subject of scams comes up.
What he got was one of New York State's finest cinder blocks, and a Polaroid of my hairy white butt, shipped off to his "friend" in Ireland.
As Rudyard Kipling would have said: Beware the fuzzy-wuzzy, my son.
