Military 6X6 Questions

I read someone's post below about turning a 6x6 into a 4wd. Has anyone here done this?
I've thought long & hard about building a tough truck & it seems that with the cheap price these units go for a guy could just Willy-N the frame & voilla, instant huge 4x4 with a much better turning radius.
I really like the one posted below with the huge tires.
