230 cu in. oil galley question

I'm coverting to a spin-on oil filter. The original canister in-line feeds from the second from the back galley port plug, just above the return line port.I'm using 1/4 hydraulic fittings. Do to the tight area for in and return,I would like to move the in-line to the next port forward, just behind the oil fill tube. THE question, would I be robbing the engine oiling at the forward part of the block ?
