This method may seem to lack either courage or knowledge, but the way I have always solved this kind of thing is to take the pressure plate that fit the flywheel I had, both discs, and the receiving vehicle's throwout bearing, all into my favorite parts house (a place staffed by guys who knew a lot), and said, "What do you think I need here?"
They would give me what I needed. The problem in recent years is that those guys who know a lot have, in many cases, retired.
I would still try that approach. In most cases, their parts books will also have part ID guides that offer critical dimensional and spline count specifications.
This is what I did when I put my 540 OD in a 1967 W300 into which I had installed a 440.
