Wow! What a post!
I currently work for the Federal Aviation Administration. Prior to this job I was an aircraft mechanic since I was 17. Worked on most everything from F-4s, L-1011s, corperate jets, helicopters, to super cubs. Moved to Alaska in 1990 and spent alot of time recovering bent airplanes from the bush. I spend alot of my time now doing risk management and root cause analysis for aircraft accidents. I have about 5 acres of land with house in the hills north of Fairbanks with a view of the city and the entire Alaska mountain range including Denali. My rush hour traffic is 3 trucks backed up at a stop sign.
I have a very understanding wife and 3 kids, the boy of 8 years is in compitition hockey and the first girl of 6 years in developmental hockey and the second girl of 2 years in....well she's.....very much a two year old and a 145lb rottwieller (he's a good bear dog)
I've got a 54 ff truck in complete original condition, a slightly modified 56 ff truck, and a very modified WC-53 carryall which isn't done yet. I'm running about neck and neck with Paul(in NY)and his carryall. I try to balance my mad money between the carryall and hunting/fishing although the carryall has had the priority for the past couple years. If anyone on this site is ever vacationing and passing through Fairbanks your welcome to stop by. I always have cold beers.
