I work in a cubicle in a small office in El Segundo, CA. I am a 53 year old unix system administrator which is a fancy way of saying I try to keep some unix servers running for a large auto insurance company. I have had several careers including marine machinist at a shipyard.
I live near the beach where property is measured to the sq. inch and so I do not have a lot of room to work on my Townie. I am overweight and underappreciated.
On the weekends, I pull a trailer with my townie to street fairs, events, farmers markets, etc to sell kettle corn. I am usually low on cash and time.
My dream is to some day have the time, space, and money to restore my 59 Townie. I sometimes feel bad about the weekly hard pulls up that 700 ft hill to sell kettle corn, but both the Townie and I have to keep working to pay the way.
I am blessed with a beautiful wife of 21 years and one great son.
Living a few blocks from Redondo Beach has spoiled me for great weather (This weekend is another 85 degree block of paradise.) I do miss the open space and slower life that country living would provide.
Best Wishes
Lonnie
